Soul of Christ, sanctify me; Body of Christ, save me; Blood of Christ, inebriate me; Water from the side of Christ, wash me; Passion of Christ, strengthen me; O good Jesus, hear me; within Your wounds, hide me; let me never be separated from You; from the evil one, protect me; at the hour of my death, call me; and bid me to come to You; that with Your saints, I may praise You forever and ever. Amen.
Daily Acts and Prayers
Act of Faith
O my God, I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three Divine Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe that Thy Divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived. Amen.
Act of Hope
O my God, relying on Thy almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of Thy grace, and life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Act of Love (Charity)
O my God, I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because Thou art all good and worthy of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of Thee. I forgive all who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.
Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee; and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.
Daily (Morning) Offering
O Jesus, through the immaculate heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your sacred heart: the salvation of souls, rep- aration for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all the apostles of prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month. Amen.
Daily Prayer for Priests
O Jesus, I pray for Your faithful and fervent priests; for Your unfaithful and tepid priests; for Your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for Your tempted priests; for Your lonely and desolate priests; for Your young priests; for Your dying priests; for the souls of Your priests in Purgatory.
But above all, I recommend to You the priests dearest to me: the priest who baptized me; the priests who absolved me from my sins; the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me Your Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests who taught and instructed me; all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way.
O Jesus, keep them all close to Your heart, and bless them abundantly in time and in eternity. Amen.
Prayers of Consecration
Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
I give myself and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ my person and my life, my actions, pains, and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being other than to honor, love, and glorify the Sacred Heart. This is my un- changing purpose; namely, to be all His, and to do all things for the love of Him, at the same time renouncing with all my heart whatever is displeasing to Him. I therefore take You, O Sacred Heart, to be the only object of my love, the guardian of my life, my assurance of salvation, the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy, the atonement for all the faults of my life and my sure refuge at the hour of death.
Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God the Father, and turn away from me the strokes of His righteous anger. O Heart of love, I put all my confidence in You, for I fear everything from my own wickedness and frailty, but I hope for all things from Your goodness and bounty.
Remove from me all that can displease You or resist Your holy will; let Your pure love imprint Your image so deeply upon my heart that I shall never be able to forget You or to be separated from You.
May I obtain from all Your loving kindness the grace of having my name written in Your Heart, for in You I desire to place all my hap- piness and glory, living and dying in bondage to You. Amen.
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
I, [Name], a repentant sinner, renew and ratify today in Your hands, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my Baptism. I renounce Satan and resolve to follow Jesus Christ even more closely than before. Mary, I give You my heart. Please set it on fire with love for Jesus. Make it always attentive to his burning thirst for love and for souls. Keep my heart in Your most pure Heart that I may love Jesus and the members of his Body with Your own perfect love.
Mary, I entrust myself totally to You: my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions. Please make of me, of all that I am and have, whatever most pleases You. Let me be a fit instrument in Your immaculate and merciful hands for bringing the greatest possible glory to God. If I fall, please lead me back to Jesus. Wash me in the blood and water that flow from his pierced side, and help me never to lose my trust in this fountain of love and mercy.
With You, O Immaculate Mother — You who always do the will of God — I unite myself to the perfect consecration of Jesus as he offers himself in the Spirit to the Father for the life of the world. Amen.
Consecration of SFXC Parish to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
O Most Holy Trinity: Our Father in Heaven, You chose Mary as the fairest of Your daughters; God the Son, You chose Mary as Your Mother; Holy Spirit, You chose Mary as Your spouse; in union with Mary, we adore Your majesty and acknowledge Your supreme, eternal dominion and authority. Most Holy Trinity, we place the Parish of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini into the hands of Mary Immac- ulate in order that she may present this parish to You.
Immaculate Queen of Heaven and Earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother Mary, we humbly cast ourselves at Your feet, consecrating to Your Immaculate Heart all peoples of the Parish of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. Protect also the Bishop of this diocese and all his priests, deacons, and consecrated religious in its service. Protect those who have been called to the vocation of marriage. Protect our families and may this parish flourish in love and service to almighty God. Draw forth the precious gift of vo- cations to the priesthood and religious life. Look after sinners, the sick, the poor, the imprisoned, the tempted and upon all who are in need of Your intercession.
O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, we ask that You draw all of us closer to Your Son’s Eucharistic Heart. Let all of us be fit instruments in Your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing God’s glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and in- different souls. Help us as far as possible to serve the advancement of the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever You enter You obtain grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through Your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to You!
Consecration to the Holy Spirit
O Holy Spirit, divine Spirit of light and love, I consecrate to You my understanding, my heart, my will, my whole being for time and for eternity. May my understanding always be submissive to Your heavenly inspirations and to the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church, of which You are the infallible Guide; may my heart ever be inflamed with love of God and of my neighbor; may my will always conform to the divine will, and may my whole life be a faithful imitation of the life and virtues of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom be honor and glory forever. Amen.
